I Ate The Cold Wind

from Klub Kakophonika by Whistling Treason

/

lyrics

I ate the cold wind,
Smothered worlds in sand,
I brought the floodwaters,
Drowned out all the lands.
Like wolves jumping at the moon,
My fires burned your homes,
I crushed your rulers underfoot,
And threw down all their thrones.

I ground all the bleached bones,
Crushed them into dust,
The brazen monuments of men,
Lie tarnished, ruined by rust.
The statues of the mighty,
Ruined and fallen are,
And all the people of the world are scattered wide and far.

Swollen rivers burst their banks,
Crops rot in their fields,
I will wreak my vengeance,
And the fate of all is sealed,
Older than the hills am I,
None shall escape their crimes,
All face me in the end,
Die by the hand of Time.

What started out as a strictly folk project has expanded wildly, to incorporate tunes from around the world, original compositions, and a whole lot of dub.
